There’s some welcome news concerning road repairs in the county. Construction on the Highway 28 rebuilding project between the south county line and Waldo has progressed enough that the detour signs were removed on Tuesday and replaced by simple “Road Work Ahead” signs, clearing the access to points beyond Waldo that had been unavailable from the east since the spring. Asphalt laying is complete with only beamguard and shoulder work remaining.
For Highway32 travelers, the DOT reports that the south detour between Highway “V” and Cedar Grove will be removed sometime next week, leaving only the north detour between “V” and Highway 28 at Sheboygan Falls in place. That detour is expected to last until mid-November while resurfacing and culvert replacement operations continue.
